Description

The MCP2551-I/P is a high-speed CAN (Controller Area Network) Bus Transceiver Interface IC designed to provide a reliable physical interface between a CAN controller and the CAN bus. Fully compliant with the ISO 11898 standard, this IC enables robust differential communication in automotive, industrial, robotics, and embedded networking applications.

The MCP2551 converts the logic-level transmit (TXD) and receive (RXD) signals from a CAN controller into differential CAN bus signals while providing excellent noise immunity and reliable long-distance communication. It is commonly used alongside CAN controller ICs such as the MCP2515 to build complete CAN communication systems.

Featuring a DIP-8 through-hole package, the MCP2551-I/P is easy to integrate into development boards, industrial control systems, embedded devices, and prototype PCBs.
