Description

The SN74HCT245 is an octal bus transceiver designed for asynchronous two-way communication between data buses. It consists of eight non-inverting buffers with 3-state outputs. The device is controlled by two primary inputs: the Direction (DIR) control, which determines whether data flows from A-to-B or B-to-A, and the Output Enable (OE-bar), which disables the outputs to a high-impedance (high-Z) state.

Because it is part of the 74HCT series, it features TTL-compatible input threshold levels, allowing it to interface directly with 5V TTL logic while maintaining the high performance and low power consumption of CMOS technology.
