The MKS-LV8729-OC 1.5A Ultra Quiet Stepper Motor Driver is a high-performance motor driver designed for 3D printers, CNC machines, and other precision motion control applications. Based on the LV8729 driver chip, this module delivers smooth, accurate, and ultra-quiet stepper motor operation with support for up to 128 microsteps.
This driver is compatible with various controller boards including MKS GEN, MKS SBASE, MKS CD, RAMPS, and MKS OSC controllers. It supports both common cathode and differential input modes, selectable through DIP switch configuration, allowing flexible integration with different control systems.
The driver includes high-speed optocoupler isolation for reliable high-speed signal transmission without losing steps. It also features automatic half-current control to reduce motor heating and improve power efficiency during idle operation.
Microstep subdivision and output current can be easily configured through onboard DIP switches. The driver supports multiple subdivision modes including 16, 32, 64, and 128 microsteps for smoother and more precise motor motion.
An enlarged heatsink design improves heat dissipation and enhances driver stability during long operating hours. The built-in over-current protection circuit helps protect both the driver and connected motor from electrical damage.

Instructions for Use:
- Supports common cathode and differential input modes via DIP switch 6
- DIP switches 1 and 2 are used for subdivision settings
- DIP switches 3, 4, and 5 are used for current settings
- DIP switch ON position represents “1”, OFF position represents “0”
