Description
The HT-273 (78K series) is a high-performance octal D-type flip-flop designed for robust data storage and synchronization. It integrates eight independent positive-edge-triggered flip-flops within a single package, each featuring an individual data input and a non-inverting Q output. A common buffered clock (CLK) and a shared asynchronous direct clear (CLR) input enable the simultaneous control of all eight storage elements.
The device is engineered for precision: data at the D-inputs is transferred to the corresponding Q-outputs only on the positive-going edge of the clock pulse. Once the clock transition occurs, the flip-flops become insensitive to further changes at the D-input until the next clock cycle, ensuring stable and reliable data capture. The active-LOW clear input provides an efficient way to reset all outputs to a logic LOW state, regardless of the clock or data input status.
