Description
The DRV8825 Stepper Motor Driver Module with Aluminum Heat Sink is a high-performance microstepping driver designed for controlling bipolar stepper motors in robotics, CNC machines, 3D printers, and automation applications. Built around Texas Instruments’ DRV8825 driver IC, the module provides precise motor control with smooth microstepping operation and high current handling capability.
The module features a pinout and interface similar to A4988 stepper motor driver boards, making it a convenient drop-in replacement in many existing applications while offering improved performance and higher voltage support.
Supporting operating voltages from 8.2V to 45V DC, the DRV8825 can deliver up to 1.5A continuous current per phase without additional cooling and up to 2.2A peak current with proper heat dissipation. The included aluminum heatsink improves thermal performance for stable and reliable operation during extended use.
The driver supports up to 1/32 microstepping resolution and includes advanced protection features such as over-current protection, over-temperature shutdown, under-voltage lockout, and short-circuit protection for enhanced operational safety.
