Description
The 74HC157 is a high-speed, quad 2-input data selector/multiplexer. It features four independent 2-to-1 multiplexers, where each channel chooses one of two data sources based on the status of a common select (A/B) input. All four multiplexers are simultaneously controlled by the same select input and a global strobe (G) input.
When the strobe (G) input is held HIGH, all outputs are forced to a LOW state, regardless of the data or select inputs. When the strobe (G) is LOW, the selected data source is routed to the corresponding output. This IC is ideal for applications requiring data bus selection, signal routing, and complex digital switching.
