Description
The 74HC151 is a high-speed, 8-input digital multiplexer. It selects one of eight data sources (I0 through I7) and routes the selected data to the output based on the binary state of three select inputs (S0, S1, S2). The device provides both complementary outputs: the non-inverted output (Y) and the inverted output (W).
This IC also features an active-LOW Enable input (E-bar). When the Enable input is HIGH, the Y output is forced LOW and the W output is forced HIGH, regardless of the other inputs. Its high-speed CMOS technology makes it an ideal component for complex data routing, digital signal switching, and as a function generator for custom boolean logic.
