The YSX321SL 22.1184 MHz is a high-precision, 4-pin surface-mount quartz crystal optimized for communication and microcontroller timing. Similar to the 14.7456 MHz crystal, the 22.1184 MHz frequency is widely favored in embedded systems design as a “baud-rate friendly” crystal. It allows microcontrollers to generate standard UART baud rates (such as 9600, 19200, 38400, or 115200 bps) with virtually zero percentage error, ensuring robust and reliable serial data communication.
