Description

The ULN2801A is a high-performance 8-channel Darlington transistor array, designed for driving high-power loads from standard logic signals. This device contains eight independent NPN Darlington pairs with common emitters and integral suppression diodes, specifically engineered to handle inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, and stepper motors.

Each Darlington pair provides a peak load current rating of 600 mA (500 mA continuous) and can withstand up to 50 V in the OFF state. For applications requiring higher current, the outputs can be easily paralleled. The ULN2801A is the general-purpose version of this series, featuring a flexible input configuration. The device is housed in an 18-lead plastic DIP package, featuring a convenient input-opposite-output pinout design to significantly simplify complex PCB layouts.
