Description
The PL2303HX (Revision A) is a highly integrated USB-to-Serial bridge controller designed to provide a seamless interface between USB-capable hosts and RS232-like full-duplex asynchronous serial devices. By emulating a traditional COM port via its highly compatible driver suite, it allows legacy applications to migrate to modern USB connectivity without requiring software redesigns.
Leveraging USB bulk transfer mode and automatic flow control, the PL2303HX achieves throughput significantly higher than standard UART ports. It is engineered with mobile and embedded applications in mind, featuring an ultra-compact footprint, low power consumption, and a flexible signal level interface (supporting 1.8V to 3.3V devices). This makes it ideal for bus-powered handheld devices, dongles, and various industrial interface modules.
