Description
The nRF8001 is a dedicated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity device designed to act as an SPI-connected slave peripheral. Unlike fully integrated SoCs that include a primary CPU, the nRF8001 serves as a network processor, allowing an external microcontroller (such as an Arduino, PIC, or ARM Cortex) to add Bluetooth connectivity to a design by offloading the entire BLE stack to the nRF8001.
