Description
The MOC3061 is a high-performance optoisolator IC featuring a Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) infrared-emitting diode optically coupled to a monolithic silicon detector. This device is specifically engineered to function as a Zero Voltage Crossing (ZVC) bilateral triac driver.
By detecting the AC line’s zero-crossing point, the MOC3061 significantly reduces EMI/RFI noise during switching. It is an ideal interface between low-voltage logic systems and high-voltage AC loads (115/240 Vac), making it a staple component for solid-state relays, industrial motor controls, and various home appliances.
