Description

The MM74HC573WMX is a high-speed, octal D-type transparent latch manufactured with silicon-gate CMOS technology. It is designed for high-performance bus-oriented systems, providing 8-bit data buffering with 3-state output capability. The device features a latch enable (LE) input and an output enable (OE) input, allowing for easy data synchronization and bus control.

When the latch enable (LE) input is HIGH, the outputs follow the inputs (transparent mode). When LE is taken LOW, the data at the inputs is latched. When the output enable (OE) input is LOW, the data is passed to the outputs; when OE is HIGH, the outputs enter a high-impedance (3-state) condition, isolating the device from the bus. This functionality makes it highly effective for driving multiplexed address and data buses.
