Description
The MCP23S17-E/SP is a high-performance 16-bit General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) Expander IC featuring an industry-standard SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface). It allows microcontrollers to significantly expand their available digital input and output pins without increasing processor complexity, making it an ideal solution for embedded, industrial, and automation applications.
The MCP23S17 provides 16 individually programmable GPIO pins, configurable as inputs or outputs with internal pull-up resistors, interrupt capability, and flexible pin control.
