Description

The MC74HC74ADG is a high-speed, silicon-gate CMOS Dual D-type Flip-Flop. Each of the two flip-flops is edge-triggered, meaning it captures and transfers data from the “D” input to the “Q” output on the positive-going transition of the clock (CP) pulse. The device is fully asynchronous, featuring independent Set ($\overline{S}$) and Reset ($\overline{R}$) inputs that can override the clock to set or clear the flip-flop state at any time.

Because it is a member of the high-speed CMOS (HC) family, it offers excellent noise immunity and low power consumption, making it a staple component for synchronizing data, creating shift registers, and building complex sequential logic systems.
