Description
The MC74HC00ADR2G is a high-speed, silicon-gate CMOS Quad 2-Input NAND Gate. It contains four independent NAND gates, where the output is LOW only when both inputs are HIGH; for all other input combinations, the output is HIGH. As a member of the high-speed CMOS (HC) logic family, it combines the benefits of low power consumption with high noise immunity and faster switching speeds compared to older TTL series.
The NAND gate is often called a “universal gate” because any other basic Boolean logic function—including AND, OR, NOT, NOR, and XOR—can be implemented using only combinations of NAND gates. This makes the MC74HC00 an indispensable tool for digital circuit designers.
