Description
The MAX3221CAE+T is a high-performance, single-channel RS-232 Transceiver IC designed for low-power, space-constrained portable applications. It provides a reliable bridge between the logic levels of a microcontroller or UART and the high-voltage levels required by the RS-232 communication standard. Fully compliant with EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 specifications, it is an essential component for serial communication in modern embedded systems.
This transceiver features Maxim’s proprietary AutoShutdown technology, which automatically disables the charge pump and transmitter outputs when the RS-232 cable is disconnected or the connected device is powered off.
