Description
The DoubleSwitch is a dual-channel radio-controlled relay module designed for direct operation via standard hobby RC receiver signals. It allows safe and simple switching of high-power electrical loads without requiring microcontroller programming, transistor circuits, or logic-level interfacing.
This module provides complete electrical isolation between the RC receiver and the load circuit, ensuring protection of low-voltage control electronics while enabling control of high-voltage devices up to 240VAC. It is commonly used in robotics, RC vehicles, and automation systems where reliable remote switching is required.
The DoubleSwitch connects directly to a standard RC receiver channel in the same manner as a servo. Depending on the transmitter input, the relay can be toggled using stick movement or assigned switch channels. The onboard status LED provides real-time indication of relay state and signal quality, including warning flashes for weak or unstable radio links.
The module uses a double pole double throw (DPDT) relay with a typical switching life of up to 100,000 cycles, depending on load conditions. It is important to note that the module does not supply power at the output terminals; it only acts as a switching device.
