The SPIDER Automation Colorduino LED RGB Dot Matrix Driver Board is a high-performance magic RGB LED dot-matrix display driver fully compatible with the Arduino ecosystem. Designed to simplify colorful matrix animations and text readouts, the Colorduino pairs an M54564 super source driver with a specialized DM163 constant current driver IC.

Unlike standard matrix shields that demand constant software multiplexing, the DM163 handles three 8+6-bit hardware PWM channels for every color dot directly on the board. This drastically reduces CPU overhead on the onboard ATmega328, leaving your microcontroller free to handle complex logic, sensor polling, or external serial communications. With built-in I2C and UART interfaces, multiple boards can be cascaded effortlessly to build large-scale modular video walls or display arrays.
