Description

The IRT-2000 Automatic Battery Internal Resistance Tester (also designated as model TMAX-R203) is a precision diagnostic instrument engineered to evaluate the internal AC resistance and health of rechargeable batteries. By applying a 1 kHz AC test signal and monitoring the resulting voltage drop using a professional four-wire acquisition method, this device measures milliohm-class impedance accurately—allowing manufacturers, quality control teams, and hobbyists to assess battery performance, aging, and acidification/membrane damage rapidly.

Unlike standard multimeters that measure ohm-class resistance on unpowered objects, the IRT-2000 can test battery impedance on active or unpowered cells alike. It features dual-range voltage and resistance testing, PC connectivity for data logging, audible buzzer alarms, and wide compatibility across diverse battery chemistry types including Lithium-ion, LiPo pouch cells, NiMH, NiCd, and lead-acid storage batteries.
