Description
The CC2500 is a highly cost-effective, low-power 2.4 GHz RF transceiver designed for short-range wireless applications. It is based on the proven TI (Texas Instruments) radio platform and is widely utilized in systems requiring reliable, low-cost wireless data links, such as industrial control, home automation, and low-power wireless sensor networks.
The device operates in the license-free 2.4 GHz ISM band and supports data rates up to 500 kBaud. It is highly configurable, allowing developers to optimize the radio link for specific range, power, or throughput requirements. It integrates a packet handling engine, making it easy to implement robust wireless communication protocols even on microcontrollers with limited resources.
