Description
The 74LS153 is a high-speed Dual 4-input multiplexer that performs parallel-to-serial conversion. It contains two independent 4-input multiplexers that select one of four sources for each output. A common set of binary Select inputs (S0, S1) directs the data from the chosen input to the corresponding output (1Y or 2Y).
This device also features an active-LOW Strobe (Enable) input for each section. When the Strobe is HIGH, the output is forced to a LOW state regardless of the input data. The 74LS153 is a staple in digital systems for routing data streams, implementing complex boolean functions, and managing multi-path signal selection in microprocessor-based architectures.
