Description
The 74LCX138MX is a high-performance, low-voltage 1-of-8 Decoder/Demultiplexer designed for high-speed memory decoding or data-routing applications. This device features three binary-weighted address inputs (A0, A1, A2) and accepts these inputs to decode one of eight mutually exclusive active-LOW outputs. It is equipped with three enable inputs—two active-LOW (E1, E2) and one active-HIGH (E3)—providing extensive flexibility for cascading or system expansion.
A standout feature of the LCX family is the 5V tolerance on input pins, even when the device is operating at a lower supply voltage (e.g., 3.3V). This allows the 74LCX138 to interface directly between 5V and 3.3V systems without the need for external level shifters. Built using advanced CMOS technology, it provides high-speed operation while maintaining very low power consumption and robust signal integrity.
