Description

The 74HC00 is a high-speed, silicon-gate CMOS Quad 2-input NAND gate. It contains four independent NAND gates, where each output is LOW only if both inputs are HIGH; otherwise, the output is HIGH. As a “universal gate,” the NAND gate is the fundamental building block of digital logic; by combining these gates in specific configurations, you can construct any other basic Boolean logic function, including AND, OR, NOT, and NOR.
