Description
The 74ALVC164245 is a high-performance, low-power, 16-bit dual-supply translating transceiver designed for mixed-voltage environments. It allows seamless communication between 3V and 5V logic buses by acting as a bridge, utilizing non-inverting 3-state bus-compatible outputs in both directions. The device can be configured as either two independent 8-bit transceivers or a single 16-bit transceiver.
The device features advanced direction control (DIR) and output enable (OE) pins. Data flow direction is managed by the DIR inputs, while the OE inputs place the bus ports into a high-impedance state when HIGH, preventing bus contention. It is built to comply with JEDEC standards, ensuring reliability in complex electronic systems where voltage level translation is critical.
