Description
The 74HC4067 is a high-speed CMOS analog multiplexer/demultiplexer featuring 16 independent channels. It acts as a digitally controlled analog switch, allowing you to route any one of the 16 inputs to a single common output (or vice versa) based on a 4-bit binary address (S0–S3).
This IC is bidirectional, meaning it can switch both analog and digital signals. It is highly valued for its ability to expand the limited number of analog-to-digital converter (ADC) pins on microcontrollers, allowing a single ADC pin to monitor up to 16 different analog sensors.
