Description

The 74LS154 is a high-speed, 4-line to 16-line decoder/demultiplexer integrated circuit. This device accepts four binary-weighted inputs (A0–A3) and, when enabled, provides 16 mutually exclusive active-LOW outputs. Essentially, the IC activates only one of the sixteen outputs at a time based on the binary state of the four input lines.

Utilizing Low-Power Schottky (LS) TTL technology, the 74LS154 is designed for high-speed performance in memory addressing, data routing, and code conversion applications. It features two active-LOW chip-enable inputs (G1 and G2) which can be used to cascade multiple decoders to expand the addressable range.
