Description
The SN74AHCT573DWR is a high-speed, octal transparent D-type latch featuring 3-state outputs. It is specifically designed for high-performance bus-interfacing applications. The “AHCT” designation signifies that this device operates with TTL-compatible input levels, allowing it to interface seamlessly between 5V TTL systems and higher-speed CMOS environments.
The device operates in two primary modes:
- Transparent Mode: When the Latch Enable (LE) input is HIGH, the Q outputs follow the data (D) inputs.
- Latched Mode: When LE transitions to LOW, the data at the D inputs is captured and held constant at the Q outputs.
The Output Enable (OE-bar) input provides the 3-state functionality; when OE-bar is HIGH, the outputs are placed in a high-impedance state, allowing multiple devices to share the same data bus without signal contention.
