Description

The LM35 is a precision analog temperature sensor IC that provides an output voltage directly proportional to temperature in degrees Celsius (Centigrade). Unlike many conventional temperature sensors, the LM35 is factory calibrated and does not require external calibration or trimming, making it an ideal choice for accurate and reliable temperature measurement applications.

The sensor features a highly linear output of 10mV/°C, allowing it to interface directly with microcontrollers, ADCs, Arduino, Raspberry Pi (via ADC), STM32, ESP32, PLCs, and various industrial control systems. Its low output impedance and excellent linearity simplify circuit design while ensuring accurate temperature monitoring.

Designed for both industrial and embedded applications, the LM35 operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to +150°C with low self-heating characteristics, making it suitable for continuous temperature monitoring in electronic equipment, automation systems, HVAC, battery management, laboratory instruments, and IoT devices.

The LM35 is available in the compact TO-92 through-hole package, making it easy to integrate into breadboards, prototype PCBs, and production designs.
