Description
The eSUN Cleaning Filament is an essential maintenance tool for every 3D printer owner. Designed as a high-performance thermoplastic purging compound, it effectively removes residual material from your extruder, preventing nozzle clogs and ensuring consistent print quality. It is indispensable when switching between filaments with different melting points (e.g., transitioning from high-temperature materials like Nylon or Polycarbonate to low-temperature ones like PLA) or when changing from dark to light filament colors.
This cleaning filament is also perfect for purging composite materials (such as wood-filled filaments) to clear out residual particles. It is highly recommended to use this filament before and after printing sessions; by clearing the nozzle, you prevent residual material from hardening inside as the printer cools down. Note: This filament is intended strictly for maintenance and is not designed to create 3D objects.
Each 100g coil provides significant longevity, as you only need a 100mm to 200mm piece per use, lasting for approximately 150 to 300 cleaning sessions. It functions effectively across a wide temperature range of 150°C to 320°C.
How to Use
- Set your hot-end to the temperature used for the filament previously printed.
- Unload all remaining filament from the extruder.
- Insert a 100mm–200mm piece of eSUN cleaning filament and extrude until finished.
- Adjust your hot-end to the required temperature for your new printing material and proceed as normal.
