Description

The Adafruit Non-Latching Mini Relay FeatherWing is a compact relay expansion board designed to add electrically controlled switching capability to compatible Adafruit Feather development boards. It allows a Feather-based system to control connected electrical loads such as lamps, fans, solenoids and other small appliances within the relay’s specified electrical ratings.

This is a non-latching relay configuration with a dedicated SET control pin. In its default state, the relay mechanically connects COM to NC (Normally Closed) while the NO (Normally Open) contact remains disconnected. When the SET pin is pulled high, the relay changes state, mechanically connecting COM to NO and disconnecting NC.

When the relay is active, the integrated red LED provides visual status indication and the relay coil consumes approximately 50mA to remain energized. Because it is a non-latching design, loss of power causes the relay to return to its default mechanical state. The FeatherWing can be stacked onto a Feather board using compatible Feather Stacking Headers or Feather Female Headers.
