Description
The 74HC107D,653 is a high-speed, silicon-gate CMOS Dual JK Flip-Flop. It contains two independent flip-flops, each with separate J, K, clock (CP), and asynchronous reset (R) inputs. Unlike the D-type flip-flops common in many designs, the JK flip-flop is highly versatile because it can hold, set, reset, or toggle its state based on the logic levels applied to the J and K inputs.
This device is negative-edge triggered, meaning the state transitions occur on the high-to-low transition of the clock pulse. Because it belongs to the 74HC family, it provides high noise immunity, low power consumption, and wide operating voltage ranges, making it an excellent choice for complex sequential logic, counters, and state machines.
