Description
The 74HCT164D,653 is a high-speed, silicon-gate CMOS 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register. It features two serial data inputs (DSA and DSB) and an asynchronous Master Reset (MR). Data is entered serially on the positive-going transition of the clock (CP) pulse and is simultaneously available at the eight parallel outputs, making it highly effective for converting serial data streams into parallel data for microcontrollers, LED drivers, or display controllers.
As part of the HCT series, this device is engineered with TTL-compatible input levels, allowing it to interface directly with 5V TTL logic systems while maintaining the low power consumption and high noise immunity characteristic of the CMOS logic family. The SOIC-14 surface-mount package is optimized for space-efficient PCB designs and reliable automated assembly.
