Description

The 74HC4016D,653 is a high-speed, silicon-gate CMOS Quad Single-Pole Single-Throw (SPST) Analog Switch. This device contains four independent switches, each having an input and an output (labeled X and Y) and an active-HIGH enable (E) control input. When the enable input is HIGH, the switch is closed (conducting); when LOW, the switch is open (high impedance).

This analog switch is designed to handle both analog and digital signals. It provides low “ON” resistance and very low off-state leakage current, making it an excellent choice for signal multiplexing, switching, and routing applications. Since it is built using 74HC technology, it offers superior performance with low power consumption and high noise immunity, suitable for modern precision electronic circuits.
