Description
The 74HC174 is a high-speed, silicon-gate CMOS Hex D-type Flip-Flop featuring a common clock and a common asynchronous master reset (MR). This device contains six edge-triggered flip-flops designed to store data in sequential logic systems.
Data at the D inputs, meeting the required set-up time, is transferred to the corresponding Q outputs on the positive-going transition of the clock (CP) input. When the master reset (MR) input is pulled LOW, all six flip-flops are reset independently of the clock, forcing all Q outputs to a LOW state. This IC is ideal for high-speed, low-power applications such as register files, buffers, or state machines where multiple bits of information must be stored and reset simultaneously.
