6N136 High-Speed Transistor Optocoupler IC – DIP-8

Description

The 6N136 is a high-speed, high-gain optocoupler designed for applications requiring fast signal transmission and robust electrical isolation. It utilizes an infrared light-emitting diode (LED) optically coupled to an integrated high-gain photodetector. This configuration achieves an extremely high current transfer ratio, making it an excellent choice for high-speed digital logic isolation.

The 6N136 features separate pins for the photodiode and the output stage, allowing for TTL-compatible saturation voltages and high-speed operation. Furthermore, the inclusion of a base access terminal allows for precise gain-bandwidth adjustment, providing engineers with the flexibility needed for complex signal processing, line receiving, and ground isolation across various logic families (TTL, CMOS, LSTTL).
