SPIDER Automation 600TVL FPV Camera | 1/4-Inch CMOS, 1.8mm Wide-Angle Lens & PAL/NTSC Video Output

Description

The SPIDER Automation 600TVL FPV Camera is a compact analogue video camera designed for first-person-view (FPV) systems, aerial platforms and embedded video applications. It combines a 1/4-inch CMOS image sensor with a 1.8mm wide-angle lens to provide a specified 120° field of view, making it suitable for installations requiring a broad forward-facing visual perspective.

With a specified resolution of 600TVL, the camera is intended for analogue FPV video applications. It supports PAL and NTSC video formats, enabling integration with compatible video transmission and display equipment. The camera operates from a 3.7–5V DC supply, supporting use in low-voltage electronic and aerial systems.

Its compact camera assembly is suitable for space-constrained installations where a dedicated video imaging module is required. The wide-angle lens provides broad scene coverage for piloting, visual monitoring and remote observation applications.

Key Features

  • 600TVL Analogue Video Resolution: Provides a specified resolution of 600 television lines for compatible analogue FPV video systems.
  • 1/4-Inch CMOS Image Sensor: Integrates a CMOS sensor for electronic image capture.
  • 1.8mm Wide-Angle Lens: Uses a short-focal-length lens for a broad viewing perspective.
  • 120° Field of View: Covers a wide viewing area for forward-facing camera applications.
  • Dual Video Format Support: Supports PAL and NTSC analogue video formats.
  • Low-Voltage DC Operation: Accepts a 3.7–5V DC power supply.
  • Compact Integration: Designed for installation in compact FPV and embedded video assemblies.
  • FPV Video Compatibility: Can be integrated with compatible analogue video transmitters, receivers and monitors.

Image Sensor & Optical Configuration

The camera incorporates a 1/4-inch CMOS image sensor paired with a 1.8mm wide-angle lens. This optical configuration provides a specified 120° field of view, allowing the camera to capture a broad area in front of the installation.

The wide-angle configuration is useful for FPV platforms where a broad forward view is important for navigation and visual awareness. The 600TVL resolution is intended for compatible analogue video systems rather than digital high-definition video interfaces.

Video Output & Format Compatibility

The camera supports PAL and NTSC video formats. This dual-format support allows it to be used with compatible analogue video transmission and display equipment configured for the corresponding video standard.

For FPV integration, connect the camera’s video output to a compatible analogue video transmitter or monitoring interface. Confirm the required video format and electrical connection arrangement of the connected equipment before installation.

Power Supply Requirements

The camera operates from a 3.7–5V DC power supply. The supply voltage must remain within this specified range during operation. Use a regulated and suitably rated power source compatible with the camera’s electrical requirements.

When integrating the camera into a drone or FPV platform, check the available power rail before connection. Avoid applying voltage above the specified maximum input.

Applications

  • FPV Racing Drones: Provides a forward-facing analogue video feed for compatible first-person-view systems.
  • Multirotor Platforms: Supports visual monitoring on compatible quadcopter and multirotor installations.
  • FPV Aircraft: Can be integrated into fixed-wing aircraft equipped with compatible analogue video systems.
  • Remote-Controlled Aerial Systems: Provides onboard video capture for remote piloting and observation.

Installation & Operating Recommendations

  • Verify Supply Voltage: Confirm that the camera receives a DC supply between 3.7V and 5V before powering it on.
  • Check Power Polarity: Identify the positive and ground connections from the camera’s wiring or connector documentation before connecting the supply.
  • Use Compatible Video Equipment: Connect the camera to an analogue video transmitter, receiver or display that supports the selected PAL or NTSC format.
  • Confirm Video Connections: Verify the camera’s video output and ground connections against the connected equipment’s wiring requirements.
  • Secure Camera Mounting: Use a suitable mounting arrangement to prevent movement or vibration during operation.
  • Position the Lens: Orient the 1.8mm wide-angle lens to provide the required forward-facing viewing area.
  • Check Field of View: Allow for wide-angle perspective distortion when positioning the camera and interpreting the captured image.
  • Inspect Wiring: Keep power and video connections secure and protect exposed conductors against accidental short circuits.
  • Test Before Deployment: Verify video output, display compatibility and stable power operation before installing the camera on an operational platform.
  • Maintain Electrical Limits: Do not exceed the specified 5V maximum supply voltage.
