SPIDER Automation | WOER Industrial Grade Heat Shrink Sleeve – 300mm × 1 Meter | Blue 2:1 Shrink Ratio & High-Performance Electrical Insulation
Product Overview & Insulation Technology
The WOER Industrial Grade Heat Shrink Sleeve (HST) is designed to provide insulation, bundling and protective coverage for electrical wires, cables, hoses and wiring assemblies. Its heat-activated construction allows the sleeve to contract around a suitable component, creating a closer-fitting protective layer after heating.
Supplied in blue colour with a stated 300mm width and 1-meter length, this sleeve can be cut to the required size for individual installations. The specified 2:1 shrink ratio means the material is designed to reduce to approximately half its original size after appropriate heating, helping it fit around compatible cables and assemblies.
The sleeve is specified for an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. Its stated electrical and mechanical properties include dielectric strength of at least 15kV/mm, tensile strength of at least 10.4MPa and elongation of at least 200%. These characteristics support its use in applications requiring flexible electrical insulation and mechanical protection.
Heat shrink sleeves are widely used for cable harnessing, strain relief, insulation, colour-coding and identification. When correctly selected and installed, this sleeve can also help protect covered wiring from regular wear and environmental exposure. The final protection achieved depends on correct sizing, surface preparation and installation conditions.
Technical Features & Performance Characteristics
- 2:1 Heat Shrink Ratio: Designed to contract to approximately 50% of its original size when heated under suitable conditions.
- 300mm Stated Width: Provides a wide sleeve format for compatible wiring assemblies and components. Confirm the supplied flat-width or diameter measurement before selecting it for a specific installation.
- 1-Meter Supplied Length: Allows users to cut the sleeve into smaller sections according to installation requirements.
- 90°C Shrink Temperature: The specified shrink temperature is 90°C. Apply controlled heat and allow the material to contract evenly around the component.
- Wide Operating Temperature Range: Rated for operation from -40°C to 125°C under the stated specification.
- High Dielectric Strength: Specified dielectric strength of ≥15kV/mm supports electrical insulation applications within appropriate design limits.
- Tensile Strength ≥10.4MPa: Provides mechanical strength for handling and protective coverage.
- Elongation ≥200%: The specified elongation property supports flexibility during installation and use.
- Radial Shrinking Ratio ≥50%: Indicates the stated radial shrink performance of the sleeve.
- Corrosion Resistance Test: The supplied specification states no corrosion of bare copper under the specified test.
- Heat Shock Performance: The supplied specification states no cracking under the specified heat shock test.
- Blue Colour Identification: Sky blue colour helps organise wiring assemblies through visual identification and colour-coding.
Performance Advantages
- Electrical Insulation: Provides an insulating covering for suitable wires, cable joints and electrical assemblies.
- Neater Cable Assemblies: Helps bundle and organise multiple wires into a more compact and structured arrangement.
- Strain Relief Support: Can provide additional covering around suitable cable transitions and connection areas.
- Flexible Protective Coverage: The specified elongation property supports applications where the sleeve must accommodate flexible wiring assemblies.
- Temperature Versatility: The stated operating range supports use in applications exposed to varying ambient temperatures.
- Colour-Coded Identification: Blue material helps distinguish cable groups and identify wiring during installation and maintenance.
Industrial, Commercial & Electrical Applications
- Electrical Wire Insulation: For covering and insulating compatible electrical wiring sections.
- Cable Harnessing: For bundling and organising wires in electrical assemblies and equipment.
- Strain Relief: For additional protective coverage around suitable cable joints and transitions.
- Wire Identification: For blue colour-coding in electrical installations and wiring systems.
- Industrial Equipment Wiring: For insulation and protective covering in compatible industrial electrical assemblies.
- Electronics Assembly: For cable organisation and insulation in suitable electronic equipment.
- Automotive and Electrical Wiring: For compatible wiring harnesses and cable protection applications within the sleeve’s specified operating limits.

Installation & Operating Recommendations
- Select the Correct Sleeve Size: Check the sleeve’s actual width or diameter and ensure it can slide over the component before shrinking.
- Cut to Required Length: Cut a suitable section with clean edges, allowing sufficient coverage around the intended cable or joint.
- Position Before Heating: Slide the sleeve into place before making the final connection if the connector or cable assembly prevents fitting it afterwards.
- Apply Controlled Heat: Use a suitable heat gun and distribute heat evenly around the sleeve. The specified shrink temperature is 90°C; avoid excessive or concentrated heating.
- Allow to Cool: Let the sleeve cool naturally and check that it has contracted evenly and remains securely positioned.
Important: A heat shrink sleeve provides insulation and physical protection, but it should not be treated as a substitute for a certified waterproof enclosure or a complete electrical safety system. Confirm the actual sleeve dimensions and application suitability before installation.
