SPIDER Automation | Nano IO Expansion Shield for Arduino Nano 328P | Multi-Interface I/O Breakout & Wireless Module Expansion
Product Overview & Expansion Architecture
The Nano IO Expansion Shield for Arduino Nano 328P is designed to make the I/O connections of an Arduino Nano more accessible for embedded development and electronic prototyping. It breaks out the Nano’s digital and analog connections into organised interfaces, reducing the need for individual jumper-wire connections and making it easier to connect external sensors, actuators and other electronic modules.
The shield uses an Electronic Brick-style 3-pin interface arrangement, providing GND, power and signal connections for compatible modules. This layout simplifies wiring for sensor and actuator applications while keeping connections organised across the expansion board.
For wireless communication expansion, the board provides dedicated interfaces for XBee-series modules and nRF24L01+ wireless modules. These interfaces allow compatible wireless hardware to be incorporated into Nano-based projects. The board also includes external power input terminals supporting a stated input range of 7–12V.
