Description
The A2212 1000KV Brushless DC Outrunner Motor with SimonK 30A ESC is a combined motor and electronic speed-control package intended for compatible multirotor propulsion systems. The motor has a 1000KV speed constant, a source-listed maximum power rating of 150W and a maximum-efficiency current range of 4–10A. It is specified for 2S–3S LiPo battery operation and features a 3.17mm output shaft for compatible propeller mounting hardware.
The included SimonK 30A brushless ESC controls motor speed in response to the throttle signal and incorporates an onboard BEC for compatible low-voltage electronics. The motor and ESC use a matching 3.5mm bullet-connector arrangement: female connectors on the motor and male connectors on the ESC. The package also contains a propeller adapter, an X-type motor holder and mounting screws.
The A2212 motor can be configured for clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation through appropriate three-phase motor wiring and ESC configuration. Its compact metal-bodied construction makes it suitable for integration into compatible quadcopter and hexacopter frames. Actual propulsion performance depends on the selected propeller, battery voltage, ESC configuration, aircraft weight and operating conditions.

Connector & Propeller Mounting Configuration
The motor and ESC are supplied with complementary 3.5mm bullet connectors for the motor-to-ESC electrical connection. The motor has female connectors and the ESC has male connectors. The included propeller adapter provides the mounting interface between the motor shaft and a compatible propeller hub.
- Motor Connector: Female 3.5mm bullet connector.
- ESC Connector: Male 3.5mm bullet connector.
- Connector Interface: Matching 3.5mm bullet connection between motor and ESC.
- Motor Shaft: 3.17mm diameter.
- Propeller Adapter: One adapter included.
- Propeller Compatibility: Requires a propeller hub compatible with the supplied adapter.
X-Type Motor Holder & Mechanical Installation
The package includes an X-type motor holder and a set of mounting screws for mechanical integration. The holder is intended to provide a cross-style mounting interface between the motor and a compatible frame or mounting plate. Verify the holder’s hole spacing, thread dimensions and frame compatibility before installation.
- Motor Holder Type: X-type cross holder.
- Mounting Hardware: Set of screws included.
- Frame Integration: Suitable for compatible motor mounting plates and multirotor frames.
- Mechanical Compatibility: Confirm mounting-hole alignment and screw engagement before assembly.

Connection & Operating Recommendations
- Verify Battery Voltage: Operate within the specified 2S–3S LiPo battery range and confirm the ESC supports the selected battery configuration.
- Check ESC Current Capacity: The 30A ESC rating should not be interpreted as the motor’s continuous current rating. Verify actual motor current with the selected propeller and battery.
- Match Propeller Load: Confirm propeller diameter and pitch compatibility using motor test data or controlled current measurements before flight operation.
- Verify Connector Fit: Check that the motor’s female and ESC’s male 3.5mm bullet connectors mate securely and are correctly insulated.
- Confirm Motor Rotation: Check the required clockwise or counter-clockwise direction and configure the ESC phase connections accordingly.
- Configure ESC Throttle: Follow the ESC’s supported throttle calibration and configuration procedure before connecting the propulsion system to a flight controller.
- Check BEC Requirements: Confirm the BEC output voltage and current capability before powering a flight controller, receiver or other electronics.
- Secure the Propeller Adapter: Verify adapter compatibility with the 3.17mm shaft and ensure the propeller is firmly retained.
- Inspect Motor Mounting: Confirm the X-type holder aligns with the motor and aircraft frame before tightening the mounting screws.
- Check Mechanical Vibration: Inspect motor fastening, propeller balance and bearing condition if excessive noise or vibration occurs.
- Perform Initial Testing: Test motor direction, throttle response and current draw without a propeller before proceeding to controlled propeller testing.
- Monitor Operating Temperature: Allow adequate cooling and check motor and ESC temperatures during initial operation, particularly under high propeller loads.
