Description
The ST-LINK/V2 Programmer & Debugger is an in-circuit programming and debugging interface for STM8 and STM32 microcontrollers. It provides communication between a computer and the target application board through dedicated microcontroller debugging interfaces, making it suitable for firmware programming, debugging, development and embedded-system testing.
For STM8 devices, the programmer uses the SWIM (Single Wire Interface Module) interface for programming and debugging. STM32 devices can be accessed through SWD (Serial Wire Debug) and JTAG-compatible debugging connections. The unit connects to a computer through a USB 2.0 full-speed compatible interface and is powered from the USB connection at 5V.
The programmer includes a 500mA resettable fuse for additional protection and supports automatic firmware upgrades. Clearly marked interface connections and a 2.54mm-pitch connection arrangement help simplify wiring to compatible target boards during development and programming operations.
