Description
The CNY17-2 is a reliable, high-performance optocoupler that provides excellent electrical isolation between input and output circuits. It consists of a gallium arsenide (GaAs) infrared-emitting diode (IRED) optically coupled to a silicon NPN phototransistor, all housed in an industry-standard 6-pin dual-in-line (DIP-6) package.
This device is engineered to transmit signal information—including DC levels—while maintaining a high degree of galvanic isolation. It is widely used to replace traditional relays and transformers in digital interface applications and analog circuits like CRT modulation, providing superior long-term stability and protection against electrical noise.
